  • What this is: A communication tool that helps couples understand each other better using AI-generated reflections. It is NOT therapy, counseling, or professional advice.
  • What we do: We process your messages to create summaries and reflections. We use multiple AI systems to do this.
  • What we don't do: We don't diagnose, treat, or provide emergency support. If you're in crisis, call 988 or 911.
  • Your data: We keep session content for 90 days. We also maintain aggregated patterns about your communication to improve facilitation over time.
  • Your responsibility: You're responsible for what you share and for verifying any AI-generated content.

1. What the Service Is (and Is Not)

1.1 Communication Facilitation, Not Therapy

The Service is designed to help two people better understand each other's perspectives by digesting and re-presenting information they choose to share. It provides AI-generated reflections, summaries, and clarifications of relationship or communication topics you input, structured into "sessions" and "rounds."

1.2 No Professional Advice

The Service does not provide and is not a substitute for:

  • Psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatry, or any other mental health treatment;
  • Medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice;
  • Emergency or crisis support of any kind.

No provider–patient, therapist–client, doctor–patient, lawyer–client, or fiduciary relationship is created by your use of the Service or reliance on any content made available through it.

1.3 AI-Generated Content & Limitations

The Service uses large language models ("LLMs") and other AI technologies. AI-generated content:

  • May be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or out of date;
  • May omit relevant context or nuance;
  • May misrepresent what you or your partner said;
  • May infer emotions, needs, or intentions incorrectly;
  • Is probabilistic and not individually "fact-checked" by humans.

You must not rely on any generated content as factual, complete, or as advice. You are solely responsible for verifying information and deciding how to act.

1.4 Not for Emergencies or Crises

The Service is NOT an emergency response service. If you or someone else is in crisis:

  • Call 911 (or your local emergency number) for immediate emergencies
  • Call or text 988 (in the United States) for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
  • Contact your local crisis hotline or go to your nearest emergency room

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

The Service is designed for use between two people in a relationship. You are responsible for ensuring you have your partner's consent to invite them to the Service.

3. Account Registration & Security

To use most features, you must create an account using a supported authentication provider. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • All activities that occur under your account.

4. Rate Limits and Usage

To protect system stability and manage costs, we impose limits on the number of messages or sessions per user within a given period. If you exceed these limits, the Service may temporarily restrict, throttle, or deny additional requests.

5. User Content & License

You retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use your User Content solely to provide the Service.

You acknowledge that your User Content may be transmitted to third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) for processing. We contractually require AI providers to process your data only to provide services to us and not to use your identifiable session content to train publicly available AI models.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation;
  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm your partner or any other person;
  • Share content involving child exploitation, hate speech, or extreme violence;
  • Attempt to obtain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts;
  • Circumvent any rate limits, usage caps, security measures, or technical protections;
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written permission.

7. Data Retention

Session content (messages and AI-generated reflections) is retained for 90 days. Aggregated relationship pattern data is retained until you delete your account. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Crisis Detection and Response

When our systems detect content that may indicate a crisis situation (e.g., self-harm, suicide, abuse), we may display crisis resources and halt AI-generated responses for that session. This is a safety measure, not a diagnosis or professional intervention.

Moderation and crisis detection are not perfect. You must not rely on the Service to detect or prevent self-harm, abuse, or other harm.

9. Disclaimers of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE (INCLUDING ALL AI-GENERATED CONTENT) IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your expectations or produce any particular relationship or emotional outcomes, that AI outputs will be accurate or helpful, or that crisis detection will identify all dangerous content.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR RELATIONSHIP OUTCOMES OR EMOTIONAL STATE.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the six months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance.
